The Underground Railroad 6/28/08 MJ Tribute Part 1

Part 1 of our tribute to Michael Jackson. Starts off with myself, J Smooth and Kwame Vear giving our thoughts on MJ's life and music. Then DJ 3D goes deep and puts up one of his greatest mixes ever on the show. I dare anyone to say that this was not the finest MJ tribute by any DJ on New York radio. One of the best episodes of the show ever. DJ 3D'S pinnacle mix. Stay tuned for part 2.....

RIP
Michael Joseph Jackson

J-Smooth and I start off with a spirited discussion of the Pres Obama motorcade, the police shooting in Harlem, and some other things. DJ 3d steps in and does a break beat special mix. Then the youg vet Torae out of Brooklyn stops by for and interview and freestyle. Classic show. Enjoy.

APT 5/23/09 Opening Set by Themightygman!

For years people have always put the dj tag on me which I have always shaken off. I have been a host and emcee for dj's for years, never officially doing a gig. I finally mustered up the courage to do it and it turned out ok. This set is from Sat May 23rd @ APT. The night had DJ's Monk One and Ge-Ology on the wheels. We were also celebrating the Birthdays of Dawn, Tika, and Julie. It was also an all classics night as well. This is part one with more to come. Thanking DJ's Monkone, Emskee, Qool Marv, Concerned, 3D, Avee, and Spinna for the years of influence. Enjoy.

The Together Brothers live monthly @ APT in NYC 1/22/09, An all vinyl special.

The return of my T Brothers DJ EMSKEE and DJ MONKONE after a long hiatus to the best spot in the meatpacking district in NYC: APT (for those unfamiliar it's full name The Apartment). The Thursday monthly was like a house party with old school across the board. We definitely had a good time with old friends and good drinks. Shouts to Frenchie, Jayson, Andre from Waxpoetics, Pat, Young Chris, and Amir for coming down. Enjoy the set and leave a comment.

The Underground Railroad Radio Show on WBAI 99.5FM in NYC 1/24/09

Our longtime resident DJ 3D did a very special all vinyl set on this show. Now it's not just the all vinyl that's ill, but it's all 45's. Crazy you hear the cracks and pops in the recording. In part 2 you have the group KOn indie artists repping with a freestyle and DJ 3d's second set playing the new underground and indie hip hop. This also includes my rant about Will I Am as well as part of the great show that follows ours called "Soul Central Station" hosted by Tony Ryan (i forgot to turn off the recording). Enjoy and let me know what you think.
